Eternal Hope is my first and most important book. No matter how many more I write in the future, this book will always portray the most defining moments of my entire life.

Although not about hiking and backpacking, the book describes in great detail the almost impossible odds I faced to regain my health after suffering a massive stroke in 2007.

I set myself the unlikely goal of hiking the Lost Coast Trail as my ultimate goal of self-achievement, and the book takes the reader on my journey through endless therapy sessions, long hospital stays, and the heartache and frustrations I went through as I struggled to recover.

Eternal Hope explains the course my life took from the terrible moment when I suffered the stroke right through to the time when I finally completed the Lost Coast Trail.
